You can direct any questions you have about HCRC to [email protected] or to one of the officers listed below. We’re always happy to answer!

Sarah
Angell ’18
President
Sarah Sarah the angel is a native of Arlington, Virginia from where she ran all the way to Harvard. She is a proud resident of Currier House and will use her lovely charms to convince you to make the trip to the quad. A history concentrator, Sarah is happy to destroy you in political debate while also running really fast. If you need somebody to talk to, you can always count on Sarah to listen and lend a kind shoulder to lean on. She might also convince you to go with her to see Rihanna, Beyonce, or Drake.

Ben
Griswold ’17
Vice President
ben_g Ben is a junior in Winthrop house. His hobbies include running, eating, and sleeping. He has been known to combine his aforementioned hobbies whilst awaiting the start of cross country races (see photo on left). Ben is a strong proponent of wearing pajamas to every track and cross country meet so that he is ready to nap whenever the opportunity presents itself. Among his other interests are: complaining about how he has become slow and fat, taking River Run way too seriously, and playing FIFA while he should be doing homework.

Alyssa
Bravin ’20
Secretary
alyssa Alyssa is our Secretary, thanks to her love of taking notes and designing swag. She loves all fronts of running, from cross country to track to ultras, and hopes one day to run in the Boston Marathon. Inspired by Born to Run, she is into the minimalist spectrum of footwear and was absolutely star struck when she saw Dr. Dan Lieberman one time at Harvard On the Move. Other than hanging out with Running Club, Alyssa also enjoys playing the harmonica, MAPK cascades, dogs (actually, all life), and having adventures outdoors in general.

Garrett
Wen ’18
Social Chair
Garrett Garrett is a senior in Quincy House studying Chemistry and Physics. He is also known as the Sushi Captain, and you will find out why if you go on all the fun runs and retreats he organizes. Shoot him an email if you are not already on the running club social list — promise he will make all your weekends adventurous as ever!

Emma
Seevak ’20
Head Women’s Captain
j_lowell As a young child, Emma could neither crawl nor walk, hence earning the nickname “the potted plant.” In 7th grade, she joined middle school cross-country for the free Silly Bandz (she was too shy to ask her parents to buy them for her). Against all odds, she learned to love running. Now, as a sophomore and head captain of HCRC, Emma delights in runs of all types, especially when enjoying nature, laughing with friends and exploring Boston. She’s always excited to meet for a run, grab a meal, or go on an adventure, so shoot her an email if you wanna hang out!

Jennifer
Lowell
Women’s Captain
j_lowell Jennifer Lowell is a proud free spirit. When she isn’t planning runs around chasing butterflies, pursuing the end of rainbows, or hunting for ice cream trucks, she greatly enjoys mapping exploration runs around Boston and Cambridge with HCRC. True to her uninhibited nature, Jennifer would be thrilled to dance the day away and spend the night stargazing (or, on the flip side, to cloud watch by day and boogie on down with the HCRC homefries on Friday nights). If you’re up for a run and down for some fun, meet us on the MAC steps at 4:20!

Gabi
Sejourne ’18
Women’s Captain
Gabi Gabi is a senior in Adams House who hails from the town of Guilford, Connecticut. Gabi’s favorite thing to do with HCRC is a tossup between running and getting dinner (especially at Hillel). Some of Gabi’s fondest memories from HCRC this year involve extreme weather running, including (but not limited to) some frozen eyelashes and near hypothermia in a torrential downpour! Yes, HCRC is hard core. Yes, you wanna come be hard core with us. #4:20

Liz
Roux ’19
Women’s Captain
liz_roux Liz is a junior in Adams hailing from the nature-loving town of Naples, Florida. Aside from that nature-loving biology concentration, Liz enjoys pursuing sunshine, good vibes, adventures, and deep conversations about all of the wonders of life. As for that running stuff, Liz is stoked to continue engaging in the amazingness that is HCRC. Run “fast”, take chances, and join our fam!

Julia
Ernst ’18
Women’s Captain
julie_ernst Julia is a senior from the hilly-humid DC area and a proud Matherite. When she’s not exploring Chinatown and the common on long runs with HCRC-ers, Julia likes eating four veritaffles from the dhall, enjoys listening to live story slams, and curling up with a book and HUDS hot coco. Julia looks forward to the 4:20 runs each day as an awesome source of adventure, great conversation, and lots of laughs.

Tyler
LeComer ’19
Men’s Track Captain
tyler_lecomer Tyler is a Sophomore from Stratford, CT studying Neurobiology. He has a crippling phobia of long runs after 4 years of running nearly the same exact mediocre times during his high school cross country career. You can often find him showing up late to practice, walking into class late, or coming in late to appointments. He is best known for his ability to sleep through very important scheduled events even after telling himself in the mirror that he would stay awake.

Stephen
Gillinov ’19
Assistant Race Coordinator
stephen Stephen is a junior in Dunster House studying Human Evolutionary Biology. Hailing from the suburbs of Cleveland, OH, he enjoys exploring the vibrant communities of Cambridge and Boston on runs. He likes training for races, and welcomes company on brisk Fresh Pond tempos and track workouts (as well as on more comfortable, easy runs). With his primary running background in cross-country, Stephen has a particular fondness for crisp fall trail runs, as well as competing and pushing his teammates at cross-country meets. He really looks forward to enriching the HCRC community this year!
